IELTS

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test to measure the English proficiency of individuals who are wanting to study or work abroad in countries where English is the; language of communication.
There are two Modules in IELTS:

  • Academic Module: It is for students who are planning to study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • General Training Module: Is mainly for people who apply for migration and vocational training programs


Language skills assessed in both modules are:

• Listening
• Reading
• Writing
• Speaking

IELTS score

• IELTS score is graded on a band scale from 0-9
• Generally the score required for UG is at least 6 bands & for PG is 6.5 or more
• It usually takes 15 days to receive the hard copy of the result
• The score is valid for 2 years

TOEFL

The TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition is a safe and convenient option for students who are unable to take the TOEFL iBT test at a test center due to public health concerns. The test is:

Offered everywhere that TOEFL iBT testing is normally available, based on the country of your account address, except Mainland China and Iran

Identical in content, format and on-screen experience to a test taken at a test center

Taken on your own computer at home and monitored by a human proctor online through Proctol

Available 24 hours a day, 4 days a week, through September 30, 2020, with appointments as early as 24 hours after you register

OET

The Occupational English Test (also known as OET) is the English language test for healthcare professionals. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practice in an English-speaking environment.

OET is available for the following 12 professions: dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, radiography, speech pathology, and veterinary science.

OET provides a valid and reliable assessment of all four language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking – with an emphasis on communication in medical and health professional settings.

OET comprises four sub-tests:
Listening (approximately 45 minutes)
Reading (60 minutes)
Writing (45 minutes)
Speaking (approximately 20 minutes)

NCLEX

The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN exam) has one purpose: To determine if it's safe for you to begin practice as an entry-level nurse. It is significantly different from any test that you took in nursing school. While nursing school exams are knowledge-based, the NCLEX-RN tests application and analysis using the nursing knowledge you learned in school. You will be tested on how you can use critical thinking skills to make nursing judgments.
